Presented as a set of four, we have these original, ex school science lab, glass beakers, used in classroom experiments for measuring and mixing. Sizes are 600ml, 300ml, 250ml and 100ml and they all have a lip for pouring. Use in the kitchen or use as unsual vessels and vases. These would make excellent styling pieces for a teenage bedroom too. Their graduated sizes lends them to being set out in a row.

Remember these from your school days in the science lab? Set of three science department, 500ml glass flasks with round bottoms. Made in Germany, they are fun, nostalgic pieces of glassware, great for styling. It might seem obvious to state but because the bases are round, they don't stand up. If you were feeling adventurous, you could create a simple wooden plinth or suspend them by stringing them together and hanging them up.Â

Depicting a cloudy coastal landscape, quite feasibly the beach at Wells, Norfolk, as it was acquired locally and the grassy sand dunes and long-stretching beach are very reminiscent of it there, this is a dreamy, perhaps moody, oil painting. We can see several figures strolling in the distance along the shoreline, taking in the sea air. Skilfully painted by someone who understood how use the textures of their brush marks to convey a place's atmosphere and space. We love the colour palette of soft blues, greys and greens, punctuated by specs of colour in the coats the people are wearing. The sky in particular is beautifully painted. It comes professionally mounted in a handsome floating frame that complements the canvas very well indeed. It is initialled GV and dates '62 although sadly this has no led us to the artist.Â

Isn't she beguiling? This bronze figurative sculpture of a young girl sitting is so pretty. She is beautifully rendered, from the folds of her dress to the flow of her hair to her face, feet and hands. We love the composition, an easy-going, relaxed pose, caught in the moment. And we love too the green patina of her casual summer dress. We wonder if the wooden plinth is original. Its smoothness and simplicity amplify the texture and form of the figure and her foot rests on the ground in front of the base. It's tantilisingly signed 'S Sassoon' which has had us scratching our heads because its the name of the famous war poet, Siegfried Sassoon, whose mother was a great artist and sculptor. Could there be a connection? We've not been able to find out anything further but regardless, she is a thing of beauty and very skillfully crafted. She would adorn any mantel piece or sideboard.Â

Dating from the 1940s-1950s, this was originally a heat lamp, now repurposed to a characterful, vintage side light or desk lamp. Its wide spotlight with a silver interior and cream finish on the outside, throws the perfect amount of light for reading. It is on a cast iron base and can be angled. It's been fully restored, rewired and PAT tested with new braided flex and switch. Ready to plug in and illimunate your life!

I say... a pair of original, French, black and white, erotic postcards, depicting two nude women enjoying nature. They are very artistic in their composition and lovely things. Both cards were sent and the writing on the back is in french. One is post stamped 1909. Much sought-after these days, early original examples are hard to come by.

A trio of enchanting, authentic postcards from the early 1900s, designed by HGC Marsh and depicting three, classic children's nursey rhymes - Jack & Jill, Georgey Porgey and Curly Locks. They were sent and are all dated stamped 1919, the interwar period. The illustrations are delightful in soft, pastel hues. These would look super in a nursery or child's playroom.

For 'adults only' these saucy, black and white, woodcut-style postcard were the brainchild of Swiss artist, Felix Vallotten. With the instructions to 'hold to the light' to reveal a hidden naughty scene behind the black, they ever so daft and a hoot! These are Victorian era originals that were never sent so they're in great, vintage order. And what is there to see...? We're not telling!
