Original Mid-century 1970s White Floor Lamp by Hala Zeist – Fully Restored

What’s the story?

A truly unique floor lamp design by renowned Netherland’s lighting manufacturer, Hala Zeist. It dates from the 1970s and features an enclosed circular spotlight, rather than the more conventional conical or trumpet shape. There is a ball joint on the stem which enables the spotlight to be rotated and the head itself can be turned too to shine the light in the desired direction. This would make a fantastic reading light set behind a chair, by a desk or in a snug corner. It’s an unusual midcentury piece with a quirky, statement design. We think it looks like a lollipop or road sign when fully extended!

Description

This lamp is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good working order and has been fully serviced and PAT tested. It does come with some minor scuffs, tarnishing and dents here and there as shown but in the overall context of the piece they are minimal and don’t detract from its vintage appeal in our view.
