Large Limited Edition Framed Abstract Print by Charles Tyrrell, ‘Untitled’ 1981

What’s the story?

A dynamic, abstract lithograph by Irish artist, Charles Tyrrell, titled ‘Untitled’ and created in 1981. Tyrrell is a renowned Irish artist, probably best known for his paintings of distorted grid patterns. This limited edition print – just one of seven – is something special, not least because of its impressive scale. Professionally framed and surface mounted, his expressive, gestural mark-making is given plenty of space. Look closely and you will subtle bursts of pale blues and red intermingled with the greys and muted blacks. For me, this shows motion, a transient moment captured in a quick, graphic way.

Description

‘Sold as seen’ in good, used condition. There are some minor knocks and scuffs on the wooden frame but nothing to specifically flag. Please browse our photos for an accurate sense of colour and condition. There is some glare and reflection across our images (it’s tricky to photograph artwork behind glass!) but we’ve aimed to show the print from lots of angles to mitigate this.
