Someone once said, “Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful”. We are inspired too by Jim and Helen Ede’s approach to how they curated the items in their inspirational home at Kettle’s Yard, where artwork is displayed next to pebbles & plants accent sculptures. All kinds of objects, manmade or otherwise, should be valued & loved on an equal footing. Our homes & the things within should be enriching & interesting. Founded by Rachel & Karl, Vintage Curiosities scratches an itch to source & sell original & unusual second hand homeware. Our home is filled with these precious things & we want to pass it on. From thoughtful artwork to beautiful decorative objects to industrial pieces to the downright weird & wonderful, with over 15 years experience in the midcentury & vintage furniture trade, we wanted to carve out a little niche for smaller curios collected from anywhere in the past 200 years.
